VANCOUVER, Wash. — DigiStor, a leading provider of secure data-at-rest (DAR) storage solutions for mission-critical environments, today announced the official appointment of Dave Withers as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2025.
Withers has served in a strategic leadership and advisory capacity with DigiStor since August 2024, helping guide the company through a period of accelerated growth, expanded market opportunity, and organizational transformation. His official appointment marks a significant milestone as DigiStor continues to scale its secure storage portfolio and strengthen its position across defense, government, enterprise, and industrial markets.
A seasoned technology executive, entrepreneur, and investor, Withers brings more than 25 years of experience building and scaling infrastructure, storage, cloud, and enterprise technology companies. Throughout his career, he has held executive leadership positions at some of the industry’s most influential technology organizations, including Dell EMC, Isilon Systems, Nebula, Ocarina Networks, and PolyServe.
Most notably, Withers served as CEO and Co-Founder of Renasar Technologies, an infrastructure software company acquired by EMC in 2015, where he later served as Vice President of Technology for Global Platform Engineering following EMC’s acquisition by Dell.
“Dave has already made a tremendous impact on DigiStor through his leadership, strategic vision, and deep understanding of the storage and cybersecurity landscape,” said Brian Friss, co-founder of DigiStor. “His ability to align innovation with market demand, combined with decades of operational and go-to-market experience, makes him uniquely positioned to lead DigiStor into its next phase of growth.”

Under his leadership, DigiStor is focused on expanding its secure storage offerings, accelerating innovation around data protection technologies, and strengthening partnerships that support mission-critical applications.
“I’m honored to officially join DigiStor as CEO,” said Withers. “DigiStor has built an exceptional reputation delivering trusted, certified secure storage solutions for some of the most demanding environments in the world. I’m excited to work alongside this talented team as we continue to innovate, expand our partnerships, and help customers address the growing need for resilient, secure data infrastructure.”
